SCCC Territory: 250 mile radius centered at Grid Square DM15db
ARRL rules require Unlimited and Medium class clubs to define their territory by a
rectangle or by a 250 mile radius circle around the club center. SCCC has elected to use the radius definition and defined our center as Grid Square DM15bd.
If in doubt as to whether you are within our 250 mile radius, go to ARRL's Grid Distance Calculator on their contest club web site. Set the Measurement units to miles, ensure the button "Distance from reference grid" is checked and enter the reference grid as DM15bd, our club center location. In the box "List grid squares below", enter your six character grid square and press the "Calculate Distances" button. If you aren't sure of your six digit grid square, it can be found on QRZ.com on the Detail tab for your callsign. Always use your six digit grid square in this exercise for maximum accuracy. Note that CQ Contest rules also define the radius for their contests as 250 miles from the club center.
